Devote Yourself To The Study Of The Word Of God
14 Remind them of these things, charging them before the Lord not to strive about words to no profit, to the ruin of the hearers. 15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
2 Timothy 2:14-15
Mean Of Dividing The Word Of God:
To divide the word of God means the following:
- To be full of the Holy Spirit, for ordinary human logic and reasoning cannot interpret spiritual statement. After, seeing God face to face over 40 times, I found out that religious leaders do not understand the statements in the holy books. All because they use human logic and reasoning to interpret spiritual statement.
- To have the ability to interpret the word of God. This means to have spiritual knowledge and wisdom.
- To understand the different statements of Truth as expressed in the word of God.
- To know both hidden and unhidden meanings in the word of God.
- To understand the word of God in diverse contexts, as it applies to different situations.
- To apply every part of the word of God to various life’s situations, as and when due, depending on the circumstances. For example, Jesus spoke in parables so that children of God would understand His messages and teachings, without the unbelievers knowing what He was saying.
- To have relevant spiritual encounters and experiences, which make one to know the Truth and the realities of life.
- Being able to understand the leading of the Holy Spirit.
- Being able to distinguish hypocrisy from the true worship of God. Today, what humanity calls religions are nothing but the multiplicity of idolatry. The numerous Catholics in the world are praying the rosary, while Jesus is in heaven saying that those who pray the rosary are busy decieving themselves because God has no Queen of Heaven.
- Being able to differentiate man-made doctrines which are practiced in place of God’s commandments. Majority of the churches, even those that claim to be the best, fail in this very important duty. Today, many churches are happy and proud to call “Holy Ghost.” But, God says He has nothing like Holy Ghost. People should call Holy Spirit, not Holy Ghost.
